Visionary, Leader, Champion for Social & Emotional Learning

Joshua Reitzenstein has been a passionate educator for over a decade in the Beverly Hills Public schools. He holds his Master’s Degree from Antioch University in Educational Leadership and Change.

Joshua served in a myriad of ways within his school district. Teaching everything from preschool to the middle school’s counseling enriched classroom, coaching high school football, leading outdoor ed trips, coordinating PBIS and evening pioneering a mindfulness program, Joshua explored every avenue to enrich student well-being.

When his advocacy for social/emotional learning met the limits of the public school system, he took a sabbatical and has dedicated himself to creatively envisioning new ways to support youth and families in the journey through adolescence.

Joshua currently lives among the redwoods on land with one of his own mentors. He supports an award winning rites of passage youth program and enjoys spending time at his “sit spot.”

Most Recently, Joshua is presenting PD (professional development) entitled ‘Mindfulness as Self-Care for Educators’ within the New York Public School System.
